MUSCLE RELAXANTS

Muscle relaxant is injected into the treatment area to relax the muscles that cause wrinkles. Antiaging injectors use the very best quality muscle relaxing injections on the market. In my skin offers full consultation and assessment prior to any treatment. After the injection, it takes about 5-7 days to notice the effect and 10 days for the full effect. Although the muscle relaxant anti-wrinkle injections have been used safely for many years, they should not be used in pregnancy, lactating mothers and some other medical conditions. It is very important to tell your cosmetic practitioner if you have health problems or if you take any medications prior to treatment.

Although side effects do occasionally occur Letitia and her team of Cosmetic Doctors take particular care to minimise them. For some clients, the more often you have the treatment the less frequently treatment is required as the effects may last longer with each application.

MUSCLE RELAXANTS can be used in the following areas;

- Lines and wrinkles on the upper face Frown Lines (between the eyes),

- Crow’s Feet (lines on the sides of the eyes),

- Horizontal brow lines,

- Eyebrow lifts,

- Migraine management,

- Excessive sweating in the palms, feet and underarms.

Nefertiti lift is a non-surgical lower face lift, that can achieve brilliant results. Including lifting sagging jowls, soften marionette lines and sharpen the jaw line. This allows muscles on the upper face to lift the lower face creating a more defined jaw line. The Nefertiti Lift has a duration of effect of 4-6 months. There is no recovery period and you can return to normal duties immediately.

Enlarging and opening up eyes, softening lines under eyes, softening the lines in the neck, softening and improving drooping mouth corners can all be achieved using muscle relaxing injections.

Bruxism is the medical term for grinding, gnashing or clenching your teeth. This involves using the same muscle relaxant injections that have been used for over 15 years to treat facial wrinkles and other medical conditions.

DERMAL FILLERS

Dermal Fillers restore some of that beautiful look of bursting vibrancy to even the most mature face.

Once injected the gel plumps and lifts the skin gently to replace the collagen that has been lost by the natural aging process. Semi-permanent fillers work by creating an internal framework (or scaffolding) on which new collagen and elastin can attach creating the structure, tone and firmness for a more youthful appearance. Although the dermal fillers have been used for many years they should not be used in pregnancy, lactating mothers and other medical conditions. It is very important to tell your cosmetic practitioner if you have health problems or if you are taking any medication prior to treatment.

At In my skin, we prefer a natural enhancement that will leave you with fuller lips that look just like you were born with them!

Cheeks are a very important feature of the mid-face and tend to flatten with age. This leads to the formation of jowls (the sag around the chin area), and nasolabial lines (the line from the corner of the nose to the corner of the mouth). Replacing volume in the cheeks is one of the most important areas to fill when rejuvenating the face. With poor cheek volume, the face can appear flattened and lack the natural youthful curves provided by fuller cheeks. Additionally, the mid cheek can support the lower eyelid, and in most cases, plumping the cheeks can improve the appearance of under eye bags!

Tear troughs, or the hollows that under the lower eyelid can also be treated. This helps to smooth the area between the lower eyelids and the cheek, and therefore reduce the appearance of under eye hollows and/or fatty bulges.

Dermal Fillers usually last between 9-18 months, depending on skin type, lifestyle and skin maintenance. Side-effects of dermal filling may include some swelling, redness and occasional bruising. This will usually disappear within a couple of days although bruising can last up to 10-14 days.

PLASMAGE

The new tool in dermatology and medical aesthetics, Plasmage is a medical device for non-invasive micro-surgery. Plasmage is able to generate the plasma through an electric discharge that starts when the tip of the device is getting close enough to the skin but never touching it. Treated tissues sublimate, without ablative effects on the skin.

After Plasmage skin tightening, the skin texture will continue to improve for up to 3mths. Plasmage can last up to 3 years.
